The Overview team is:
Jonathan Stray - Project lead. Stray began his career in computer science, then moved into journalism. From 2000 to 2009 he worked in a research group at Adobe Systems on products such as After Effects and Flash. In 2009 he moved to Hong Kong and worked as a full-time freelance reporter, contributing to Foreign Policy, the New York Times, and China Daily. From 2010 to 2012 he was the Interactive Technology Editor at the Associated Press, overseeing team of developers and producers with the mission to create new storytelling techniques and experiences.. He holds an MSc. in Computer Science from the University of Toronto and a Master of Journalism from the University of Hong Kong.

Tamara Munzner has provided important advice and support to the project as a visualization professional. Munzner is an associate professor at the University of British Columbia Department of Computer Science, where she has been since 2002. Her research interests include the development, evaluation, and characterization of information visualization systems and techniques from both user-driven and technique-driven perspectives.
Stephen Ingram wrote much of the prototype GUI and designed several critical algorithms, including Glimmer. Stephen is a PhD student of computer science at the University of British Columbia under Tamara Munzner. His research is in information visualization and dimensionality reduction. Additionally, he works as a research consultant for Twin Beach Analytics where he helps to design and implement quantitative trading strategies.
Matthew Brehmer is a PhD student in the University of British Columbia’s IMAGER lab. He is interested in research methodologies for evaluating information visualisation tools. He is co-supervised by Tamara Munzner and Joanna McGrenere.
